Message from the Founder

                                        Assalamu alaikum,

Welcome to Noon!

To truly understand our mission, let me share the story of our beginnings. I am Bushra Ismail, an alumnus of Ilma International Girls School. My journey in teaching our deen started at the age of 14 when I joined as an assistant teacher at an Ahadiya (Sunday school) while pursuing my studies in Islam. After completing my O/Ls, Allah blessed to complete Alima studies at Madrasathu Tharbiyathil Banath, all while continuing my education through A/Ls. By the age of 21, I was teaching at an Islamic school in Colombo, along with teaching at the Saturday section of the very madrasa where I started my studies.

In 2013, while expecting my first child, I took the leap into online Quran teaching for an Australian virtual institute. This was met with skepticism from many in Sri Lanka, who couldn't yet envision the potential of online education. I also attempted to launch a physical Madrasa, but, heartbreakingly, it was halted after just two weeks due to the tragic events of the April attacks. In that challenging time, I turned to Allah, praying for guidance and support, particularly with a heartfelt dua: “Ya Allah, let the family of Isa alai learn in my madrasa.” Little did I know, this sincere plea would lead to incredible opportunities.

Throughout this virtual journey, I taught a handful of foreign students until the pandemic brought a surge of interest from both local and international learners. With the help of my student who had become a hafiza, Noon was born—Alhamdulillah—with our first teacher. What began in Sri Lanka has now expanded and is lovingly managed from Canada, bringing our mission to a broader community.

Today, I am grateful for the blessings of having 60 wonderful teachers, approximately 600 students, and a dedicated support staff. Alhamdulillah, what began as a single step has blossomed into a vibrant community.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported me on this journey, from Ahadiya to this moment. May Allah reward all who have contributed to the growth of Noon. May Allah bless our staff, students, and parents abundantly. Ameen.

I invite you to take your first step with us—whether it’s towards learning or teaching—and discover the wonders that await you through your dua and the Mercy of our Lord.

With love,

Bushra Ismail

Messenger of Allah (ï·º) saying: "Whoever takes a path upon which he seeks knowledge, then Allah makes a path to Paradise easy for him. And indeed the angels lower their wings in approval to the one seeking knowledge. Indeed forgiveness is sought for the knowledgeable one by whomever is in the heavens and whomever is in the earth, even the fish in the waters. And superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon over the rest of the celestial bodies. Indeed the scholars are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets do not leave behind Dinar or Dirham. The only legacy of the scholars is knowledge, so whoever takes from it, then he has indeed taken the most able share"
